Newport’s annual holiday tradition is back!
• Friday, December 17, 2021 @ 7pm • Saturday, December 18, 2021 @ 7pm Presented by Red Octopus Theatre Company
Join us in person at the Newport Performing Arts Center for all things merry and bright as we bring you live theatre, Christmas music, comedy, and holiday cheer. You may even see Santa Claus himself! And of course, we wouldn’t send you home without hot chocolate and homemade Christmas cookies.
This year, all proceeds benefit Oregon Coast Council for the Arts’ Capital Campaign, as does a silent auction in the lobby, featuring an incredible assortment of gift-worthy items and experiences.
As is tradition, the show is also a food drive for Food Share of Lincoln County. Tickets are $20 online, but audiences can save $5 on admission when they purchase at the box office and bring two food donations! (No glass or expired products, please.)
Back by popular demand…we’re excited to feature, as part of this year’s show, “The Lutz Radio Theatre Christmas Show (of 1947)”, directed by Cody Larsen. It’s Christmas Eve 1947 and the final radio broadcast for station KMAS in Hollywood, California. After this, they’ll be converted to a television studio…and not everyone’s happy about it. When the writer throws a fit and the professional actors and musicians don’t arrive, the station workers must scramble to save the broadcast (after all, the show must go on)! Hilariously heartwarming, ‘Lutz’ is the perfect old-fashioned treat for the Holiday season.
