Since the 1930's Agate Beach Golf Course has been one of the finest courses on the Oregon Coast. A regulation 9 hole public course built on relatively flat rolling terrain which is very suitable for walking. More detailed course information is provided within this web page. Hatfield Marine Science Center

The Hatfield Marine Science Center is Oregon State University's marine research facility. The Visitor Center has aquariums, displays and exhibits that highlight the research conducted by 200 marine scientists. The Visitor Center offers programs for groups, guided nature walks, films, and talks. Our well-stocked bookstore has books, clothing, posters, games and more.

Historic Nye Beach - Merchants Association

Historic Nye Beach has been making people happy since it was established by its name sake, John Nye, who obtained a 160-acre land claim in 1866 when Newport was first opened for settlement.

Oregon Coast Aquarium

The Oregon Coast Aquarium is home to more than 15,000 marine animals including sea otters, sea lions, octopuses, sharks, tufted puffins and an array of tropical fish. Explore Passages of the Deep, the only thing separating you from a shark’s three-inch teeth will be three inches of acrylic. Take an adventure through our clear underwater tunnel, and you’ll know what it feels like to be completely surrounded by sharks, rays and thousands of fantastic fish. The Oregon Coast Aquarium has been consistently rated one of the nation’s top ten aquariums.

The Oregon Coast History Center is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of the Central Oregon Coast. Both facilities are located just one block off Highway 101 behind the Newport City Hall and the National Guard Armory.

We're "Filled To The Gunnels With TREASURES!" ..... We have over 8,000 square feet packed with thousands of unique old and new treasures collected from the four points of the compass. We even have pirate gear and of course, shells and other nautical items galore!!!

Port of Newport Marina & RV Park

The Port of Newport features Two RV Parks with 143 spaces both with full hook-ups, TV, showers and laundry, and RV dump stations. Dry camping plus Wi-Fi and/or Broadband hook-up are also available. The RV Park at the Newport Marina appreciates a high Good Sam rating. A small convenience store, showers and laundry facilities are on the premises. You can book a whale watching and bay tour, or take a trip to Newport's historic bay front, which offers shops, art galleries, and some of the best clam chowder on the map. Sport fishing and charter boats can be booked at the Newport Marina Store & Charters located in our Marina complex. You can even rent smaller boats and crab rings or use the public fishing pier for crabbing or fishing – then clean your catch at one of the Marina’s fish cleaning stations. Plan to cook your crab at the crab cooker then feast on your freshly caught and cooked crabs at one of our picnic bunkers.

Yaquina Bay Lighthouse Gift Shop

Yaquina Bay Lighthouse is believed to be the oldest remaining building in Newport. Having served as a lighthouse for only three years the light was decommissioned. The building was used for a variety of other purposes, including as the lookout for the US Lifesaving Service. The historic lighthhouse is open daily (weather permitting) for self guided tours. Summer hours are 11-5, winter hours are noon-4. Volunteer docents are on hand to answer your questions about the history of the lighthouse. Entrance is free, donations are greatly appreciated.
