Port of Newport Marina & RV ParkThe Port of Newport features Two RV Parks with 143 spaces both with full hook-ups, TV, showers and laundry, and RV dump stations. Dry camping plus Wi-Fi and/or Broadband hook-up are also available. The RV Park at the Newport Marina appreciates a high Good Sam rating. A small convenience store, showers and laundry facilities are on the premises. You can book a whale watching and bay tour, or take a trip to Newport's historic bay front, which offers shops, art galleries, and some of the best clam chowder on the map. Sport fishing and charter boats can be booked at the Newport Marina Store & Charters located in our Marina complex. You can even rent smaller boats and crab rings or use the public fishing pier for crabbing or fishing – then clean your catch at one of the Marina’s fish cleaning stations. Yaquina Bay Lighthouse Gift ShopYaquina Bay Lighthouse is believed to be the oldest remaining building in Newport. Having served as a lighthouse for only three years the light was decommissioned. The building was used for a variety of other purposes, including as the lookout for the US Lifesaving Service. The historic lighthhouse is open daily (weather permitting) for self guided tours. Summer hours are 11-5, winter hours are noon-4. Volunteer docents are on hand to answer your questions about the history of the lighthouse. Entrance is free, donations are greatly appreciated. |
