Learn all of the necessary techniques to create your own paper, and put it together in your own book! Now entering its 23rd year, the Newport Paper and Book Arts Festival continues to grow, and will offer 20 workshops focused on paper making and manipulation, surface design, book binding, assemblage and mixed media. The 2018 Festival will take place from April 20-22, and will be based at the Newport Visual Arts Center (VAC), with workshops held at the VAC as well as at other venues in Newport.

Past festivals have drawn over 150 participants from around the Western United States and beyond. This year, the Festival will feature 10 instructors, including John Nelson Arbuckle, Doris Arndt, Patricia Edmonds, Glenda Goodrich, Patricia Grass, Dolores Guffey, Margo Klass, Moe Snyder, Jill Timm and Jacqueline Wygant. Please email npaf@coastarts.org for more information, and to receive an updated festival brochure that indicates which workshops are still open.
