Sea birds and sea lions are plentiful; you may also enjoy paddling along the NOAA giants that are docked in the Yaquina Bay. The bay continues into the Yaquina river offering miles of fresh air and water to explore.

Guided kayak tours are offered on nearby Beaver Creek. The seasonal two-hour trips launch at Ona Beach State Park, five miles south of South Beach. Beaver Creek winds through coastal wetland inhabited by a variety of wildlife. The number of people who register and the availability of guides determine tour schedules. The fee is $15 per person.
